Piano 41- The Billabong Bar

I decided to visit Sydney Opera House, under the reasonable assumption it would hold a piano, a big one. However, I was less that impressed with the whole set up, no piano, no nothing really, just the outside of the building, impressive but…empty.

I walked to the top of Sydney Harbour bridge and enjoyed the spectacular fireworks display.

In need of some refreshment, I came across the very excellent Billabong Bar, which, unlike its more glamorous neighbour, sports some musical instruments.

I whacked out a couple of tunes by that great Aussie band, The Go-Betweens.

After the gig I retired to the veranda and downed a few cold beers while gazing out into the beautiful outback. It’s a great bar, very relaxing and comes highly recommended.
