Piano 46 – The Gold Tower

Another suggestion from my friend Gumnosophistai Nurmi. The Gold Tower is situated in Chapala and houses the most ridiculously sized organ of all time. Its actual title is ‘the evil scientist’s organ’ (I think) and, as you can see, it completely dwarfed me.

This called for something dramatic, so I played a few extended pieces from Beethoven’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 3.

After the concert I explored the rest of the tower, hoping to find a bar for my usual post-gig Gin and Tonic.

Sadly, I could find no refreshments. However, I did come across the evil scientist, one Nkoder Yue. Truth be told, Nkoder didn’t actually appear that evil at all and proudly demonstrated a new re-animation experiment.

It was thrilling to watch such ground-breaking science in action. I know for a fact I’m always in need of some re-animating after a nice siesta, perhaps this is the invention for me?.

After suggesting Nkoder install a bar somewhere, I said my farewells and departed.
